2025 MSHSAA-MMEA Music Adjudicator Training Sessions Announced
MSHSAA will sponsor three music adjudicator training sessions (Instrumental-Band, Instrumental-Strings/Orchestra, and Vocal), which will be held in conjunction with the January 2025, MMEA Conference. If you want to register for this training, simply complete the registration form below and save a copy for your records. An official registration will not be sent from the MSHSAA Office. Registration is requested so that we can have enough training materials. Walk-ins are welcome, but MSHSAA reserves the right to cancel the training if each session doesn't have at least 10 individuals registered at least a week in advance of the respective scheduled training. If the adjudicator training is canceled, the MSHSAA Office will send an email notifying their membership and will request that MMEA contact their membership. Additionally the MSHSAA website and activities page will be updated with that information.
These training sessions are open to any music educator at no charge. To be certified to judge at any MSHSAA Festivals (both Solo/Small Ensemble or Large Ensemble), it is a requirement that the attendees have seven years of teaching experience (including but not limited to private, public, and collegiate instruction). Music Educators with less than seven years of teaching experience are welcome to attend and will find the training sessions educational and beneficial. Please plan to attend if you have not renewed your training in the last 5 years.
